The educational objective of this site and the corresponding published version of Ophthalmology Scientific Update is to provide interested physicians throughout Canada, and around the world, with a unique window on some of the most current information and discussion on important scientific and clinical developments in the field of ophthalmology.

Ophthalmology Scientific Update, from the Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, is a series of physician-written, fully referenced reports and analyses of important presentations from major scientific meetings around the world or other current topics of clinical importance. Ophthalmology Scientific Update is designed as an efficient learning resource for the busy physician.
The selection of topics and all editorial content are determined solely by the physician-members of the Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences.
